Crime/Drama/Mystery/Thriller, USA, 2011

Synopsis Sam Cooper (Forest Whitaker ) and team are brought to Chicago to solve a case of seemingly random murders by a sniper. The sniper attacks hiding out in the upper floors of high rise buildings and each new target is further away from the last, as though it is a challenging game. At the second crime scene, the sniper notices Mick Rawson (Matt Ryan) and finds out online Mick's previous career as a sniper. Mick receives a courier which contains a pager. Just as Mick clicks it on to see the message "Bang bang", elsewhere the killer shoots 2 people to death. The game now appears to be personal and Cooper explains that while before the sniper was rebelling against authority in general, now he could put a face on it - Mick. The killer - the UnSub is hard to identify. His or her level of skill indicates high amount of training and experience. Each time the spent cartridge seems to be saved as a trophy. The only clue is a finding by Penelope (Kirsten Vangsness) that 12 years ago a young boy was killed by a sniper in the same area but the case ran cold.Soon, Mick gets a new message "Bang bang bang" on the pager indicating that at the next attack the sniper plans to kill 3 people. The team is desperate. Beth (Janeane Garofalo) manages to plot out the pattern of the killer's territory and predicts the probable location for next attack. Even while the team is evacuating people from the location, the first bullet is fired. In the nick of time, Mick sees the flash off the sniper's lens and pulls down a would-have-been victim. The team chases up the building to catch the sniper but is distracted off the course.
